#Tip 5: Near by me

#Tip 5: Near by me

If your meeting with a client wraps up ahead of time, would you like to use the rest of the time by meeting another customer?  Of course you would want to keep winning more deals. You can do just that by finding a customer who is around the same vicinity through Zoho CRM's 'Near by me' feature.

In a single tap, your Leads, Contacts and Accounts near you are displayed on the map. You can schedule a meeting and even get the driving directions to the customer’s location.

The 'Near by Me' feature plots the Leads/ Contacts/ Accounts near you within a set radius on the map. The 'Near by Me' icon is available on the top right, beside the name of the view in the records listing screen of the Leads, Contacts and Accounts module.

Please note that the value in the 'State'/ 'Province' field should be accurate for the records to show up on the map. For better results, if a state/ province is represented in more than one format, update both in the address information(for example: New York, NY etc.,). The same applies to the City and Street names as well.

Also, using the Custom Search bar, by entering the City name or the State/ Province name of any record and the record gets plotted for you. For instance, you are in Chennai(City), India  and would like to search for leads in New York (City), USA, you can use the custom search bar to search the leads within the respective location.

Points to be noted:

1. The records will not be plotted on the map if the default address fields are customized.

2. You may find two colours (Red and Purple) of dots indicating the customers near by in the map.

Red Dots: When there is only one record at a particular location it is represented by a red dot.

Purple Dots: When there are multiple records at the same location, it is represented by a purple dot.
