Even though your availability may be 9-6, you might require dedicated time frames for different services. If you run a business with these needs, then this feature is for you.
For example, let's say you run a beauty salon and you provide regular services on weekdays and bridal services on weekends. This requires you to split your availability for both services, and you may want to do so without alternating bookings for those services. This can be particularly important if the service occurs in different environments, or if one service has to take priority over the other during certain times of the day or week.
Let's say Ashton, a heathcare professional, offers in-person consultations and video consultations. She wants to split up her day to provide in-person consultations in the morning and video consultations in the afternoon. Zoho Bookings can make this achievable.
Ashton simply creates two services: in-person consultations and video consultations. She sets the service availability for in-person consultations from 9 am to 1 pm, and then for video consultations from 2 pm to 6 pm. This way, she receives appointments with the correct consultation type.
To set this up:
- Add a staff member in Zoho Bookings.
- Create two services under the Services tab.
- Navigate to Services > Service Availability. Click the edit icon next to Available Times.
- Choose Custom Time in the drop-down menu. Set the time (say 9 am to 1 pm) according to your requirement. Click Save.
- Similarly, set the service availability for another service according to your requirement (say 2 pm to 6 pm).
Now you will be available for both the services at different times. This ensures that the services are not interchanged.
Ashton's booking slots appear as shown below.
For in-person consultations, slots are available from 9 am to 1 pm.
For video consultations, slots are available from 2 pm to 6 pm.
In addition to differentiating between morning and afternoon appointment types, you can also set different days availability for services (say Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for in-person consultations, and Thursday and Friday for video consultations service).
Try out these customizations to meet your business needs and make scheduling more efficient.
