Tip of the week #5: Customize the calendar view based on your needs and preferences
The first steps in setting up a calendar are to configure the calendar view, work week, and work hours. In Zoho Calendar you can set a default view for the calendar and customize it later based on your preference.
Default View
The default view represents the calendar view that loads every time you open Zoho Calendar. Navigate to Settings > Calendar > Calendar Preferences and choose the preferred default view for your calendar grid.
Even after setting a default view for the calendar grid, you can choose the preferred view from the Calendar view drop-down on the top-right corner of the calendar grid. Click here to know more about calendar view customization.
Note: Each time you log in to your Zoho calendar or refresh your browser, the calendar view will revert to the default view.
First Day of a Week
The first day of the week differs in certain parts of the world. Set your first day of a week by navigating to Settings > Calendar > Calendar Preference and choose the day on which the week starts based on your region or organization.
Work Week
Work week vary between different organizations, region and fields of work. You can customize your calendar view to display the work week based on your preference. You can choose the start and end day of your work week in the calendar settings.
To set your Work Week, go to Settings > Calendar > Calendar Preferences and select the day on which the work week starts and ends with respect to your organization, region or field of work.
Work Hours
Zoho Calendar gives you the option to set your Work Hours. This helps people to look at your calendar and schedule meetings depending on your working hours.
To set the default work hours, go to Settings > Calendar > Calendar Preference and select the From and To work hours with respect to your organization, region or field of work.
