Hi everyone!
When you're working on a presentation, you may sometimes want to exchange ideas and get opinions from others. With Show, you can share your slide deck with others and set role-based permissions based on what you want them to do. You can collaborate on presentations with your teammates, anyone within your organization, or even with external, non-Zoho users.
Work together better with your team
Sharing a presentation with team members is an ideal choice when you want to collaborate and work efficiently with them.
Let's say you are working on a presentation and have created the first few slides. You now want to share it with your team so that they can work on the remaining slides. In such cases, you can lock selected slides and share the presentation with them so that they can focus on the rest of the content and not make any unauthorized changes by accident.
In addition to Edit access, you can set collaborator permissions like Share, View and comment, and View. You may also remove sharing access for the user anytime.
Note: For a presentation created in Zoho Docs, you can enter collaborator email addresses, change the Visibility to Collaborators only, and set permissions like Read Only, Read/Comment, Read/Write, and Co-Owner for them. You can also notify users about a shared presentation through an email.
Share organization-wide slide templates to maintain brand consistency
Let's say you have modified the template for the sales presentation and your organization has decided to use this format henceforth. In such cases, you can change the visibility of the slide deck so that anyone within your organization can access it. If required, you can change the access levels (Edit, View and comment, and View), set an expiration date for the presentation, and then click Save to copy its link.
You can share the copied link with teams in your organization through any chat panel or internal posts.
Share a presentation on the web
Sharing a presentation with the public is a great option when you want to promote, advertise, or announce new releases in your product through a slide deck.
You can enter a name for the link and share the presentation as a link on any web page.
Let's say you have created a presentation about the different products or services offered by your company, and you want your customers to know about them. In such cases, you can change the visibility of the presentation to "Anyone on internet" and copy its link. You can then paste the link on your website or blog to let viewers access the presentation file at any time. You can also password-protect your content in the web page or require for user data before sharing to ensure restricted access to your presentation. You can even set an expiration date for the presentation to make it inaccessible after a specific period of time.
When the audience tap the presentation embedded in your web page, it will open for them (guest user) in view mode and they will be able to see any changes you make in the slides.
Furthermore, you can provide users with Edit access to your presentation. The presentation will open for the audience (guest user) in edit mode and they will be able to make changes to the slides, even if they don't have a Zoho account.
In addition to embedding the sharing link on a web page, you can copy and share a presentation link through email.
If required, you may delete the shared link and deny access to users anytime.
You can also let viewers download the slide deck from the web so that it is accessible to them.
Note 1: For a presentation created in Docs, you can password-protect your presentation before sharing it with the public and set access permissions like Read Only, Read/Comment, and Read/Write for them. You can also set an expiration date before sharing your presentation with the public. Your audience will be able to access the presentation as a guest.
Note 2: Once you share a presentation with someone via email, they will receive an email notification.
