We've been using Zoho Banking with Token.io synchronisation happily for about eight months. But in early January 2022, we noticed that some transactions didn't show up in some accounts.
Later, we established that these are non-GBP (British pounds) transactions on our HSBC-UK credit cards.
We only see NON-STERLING TRANSACTION FEE in the feeds, but not the transaction itself.
For example, there's a transaction
SHOP* PROXMOX 87513 VIENNA AT
280.00 EUR @ 1.1935Visa Exchange Rate
(234.59 GBP)
but only
NON-STERLING TRANSACTION FEE
(7.01 GBP)
shows up in Zoho.
As a programmer, I could predict that either the length of the string, that it has two lines or a special character's occurrence could cause this entry to be missed. For the code owner, it must be easy to test this behaviour and see where it fails.
This has been reported as ticket 75683973 but no progress was made in three months, with only Zoho support "re-escalating" the issue to Token.io. I also tried to raise the issue with token.io directly but there was no answer.
It is quite alarming that such an issue which to me seems like a bug with a simple fix cannot be resolved in a timely manner, even if it probably affects only a narrow group of users.
It would be great to hear from others affected by this bug - and of course to get it fixed.
In my screenshot from the HSBC statement, green transactions are synced (even if some says DE, the charge was in GBP), red ones are missing, and orange ones are synced exchange fees.
