Tracking customer purchase history
Here's my situation:
- I sell courses and coaching.
- I have a mix of business clients and private individual clients.
- I sell my products at different price points depending on whether there's a launch discount, whether they're part of a bundle, or simply purchased right off the website.
Here's my opening question:
Is there an out-of-the-box module I can use to track product purchases (with date of purchase and price)?
Deals don't seem to be a good option for this purpose since clients are on my website and/or email list and decide to buy by clicking on a checkout button. There are no stages to the purchase as there would be in selling, let's say, consulting services or SaaS.
Right now, I'm able to associate products with clients — which is pretty awesome — but that association doesn't allow me to register purchase date or price.
What should I use to track these product purchases?
A different way of understanding this is if I had a coffee shop or other retail establishment. The customer would enter into a direct transaction with me that involves no deal, quote, purchase order, sales order or invoice.
Customer sees product. Customer wants product. Customer buys product. What's the best way to track that in Zoho CRM?
