Transferring events to another user

I recently transferred a number of accounts between two users. Unfortunately, the new user cannot see the events tied to the accounts they were transferred because of the way our sharing rules are set up (the events were owned by the old user). Is there any way to allow the new user to see the events only on the accounts that were transferred to them, without creating a company-wide rule allowing event sharing access? If there was a way to select the events for only the accounts I transferred, and mass transfer the ownership to the new user, I would do that. It does not appear there is a way to do this. Thanks.
