Unable to configure SMTP server in Mac OS Mail


Hello,

using Yosemite 10.10.5 and mac Mail 8.2 I have tried every possible options but cant connect to the SMTP server to send mail. I don't use TFA and followed directions shown here:

Still, the client never seem to connect to the SMTP server.  Connection doctor gives me an error message saying "trying to log in this SMTP account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct". I'm using the same username and password to read (POP) mail, which works fine.

Please advise.
