Unable to de duplicate contacts in CRM

Having been able to de duplicate contacts in Zoho CRM in the past. I am now having problems with this function see attachments. As you can see I have two contacts called Graham Cunningham. I do a search in contacts on Cunningham (contains Cunningham, but have also tried starts with Cunningham with same effect). Results- only one return
