Unable to remove one event from a series of repeating events.

My client uses Zoho with a gmail account and is unable to delete a single event from a series of repeating events. The settings are as follows:

This is a repeating all day event that repeats every week on a Tuesday for 12 times. We delete the event, choose to affect only this event and it disappears. On webpage refresh or sign in/out, it returns.

I've tried this on another Zoho account and the issue does not occur. What do you recommend?
