I think it would make sense to have a unified view for all modules under a folder. This is a feature that ClickUp has, which is quite helpful. 

Our use case is as follows
We have a workshop department that has different modules that they are using: repairing, painting, spare parts and external orders. They all have the same stages: open, in process, closed. The workshop head needs an overview about all the records inside of the system with one unified view. That would be possible if every record that lives in modules under a folder would be shown, when we click on that folder.
