I work at a small company (just me and my boss), and in the last few days my boss has reported that he has started getting ownership assignment emails related to new leads I am entering.
I thought perhaps I made a data entry mistake at first. However, the emails are generating based on lead creation (this process has not changed recently), and are happening even though there are no boxes for me to check or uncheck regarding my boss getting the email.
The only thing of note is that recently we have revamped our website, and we are now getting more web requests. Those requests go to my Gmail, and I enter them no differently than if I had spoken to the customer on the phone...with one exception.
As web requests go into "Lead status: Web Request Received" instead of any of the other statuses I might normally use, I am curious if there is some setting I have missed that is automatically sending ownership assignment emails if the lead status is set to "web request received" (which, again, is something we only just started using really).
Yet, I am currently looking at settings/modules/leads/summary, and there are 0 workflow rules, assignment rules, etc. Additionally, I have looked around Zoho (the program settings, and the help pages), and do not see any rules/assignments/etc. that should be causing this to happen.
Perhaps if I were converting leads to contacts it might be related to the "notify owner" option, but for now these leads are just staying leads. Any ideas on what might be happening?
