Hello App Creators,
Welcome back our series of upcoming updates! Here's what we'll be rolling out in the next 2-3 weeks:

Custom inline error messages for fields
Many of you may have used the alert task to implement dynamic data validations. For example, you'd have used it to tell your users how to correct data they entered in your form.
With this update, you'll be able to take these data validations a step further by showing a custom error message below the required field. Such an alert task's syntax will be as follows:

- alert(<field_link_name>, “<message>”);
Points to note:
- We're supporting the syntax above for the alert tasks in the On Validate workflow block.
- You can include multiple such
alert tasks in the On Validate workflow block. After your users see
the Invalid entries found popup, the messages you set will be shown below the
designated fields.
- Supported field types: An inline error message can be shown below all field types except subform, formula, auto number, add notes, section, prediction, object detection, OCR, sentiment analysis, and keyword extraction.

Look up data from the same form
Availability: Creator 5
With this update, you'll be able to add a lookup field to a form that looks up data from the same form. Points to note:
- Record hierarchy is not supported; i.e., you cannot create a parent-child relationship using this lookup field
- A bi-directional relationship is also not supported using this lookup field
- On its own, this lookup will not stop your users from establishing a relationship between the same record

Spreadsheet report enhancements
Due to their composite nature, the spreadsheet report didn't allow you to edit names and addresses. Now it will!
Soon
an icon will appear above the name and address fields in the
spreadsheet report. Clicking it will display the configured subfields
(such as first name and last name in the case of a name field), enabling your users to edit them as required.

Improvements for the Layout Designer for Print & PDF
This record layout designer will soon allow you to:
- Undo and redo up to ten changes
- Set the width of a layout element as required
- Drag and drop elements to the layout more smoothly

PDF enhancements for records
We're excited to introduce this update associated with exporting and printing a record as a PDF. The record's PDF will support:
- Repetition of the table and subform headers across the pages they span
- Repetition of the header and footer for all the pages
- Placement of the footer at the end of the page (not where the content ends)
- A few tweaks to the PDF's dimensions
Since these may affect your record template's current design, we'll open this as an Update at the account level and share a help document detailing the differences. You'll then have a time frame to switch these enhancements on and switch off these enhancements to tweak your templates accordingly.

Deluge script versioning
Once this update is rolled out, all your Deluge script workflow blocks will start supporting versioning. In other words:
- Every time you Update the Deluge script in a workflow, a new version of that script will be created
- You'll have access to the older versions of the script inside the editor

Form workflows revamp
We're revamping the form workflows so you can better build and maintain them. We'll post more about this soon.

Hello, My notes are continuously not saving. I make sure to save them, I know the process to save them. It is not operator error. I go back into a Leads profile a while later and do not see the previous notes that I have made.
