We'd like to provide clarity on a recent change to AI feature defaults in Cliq.

 

As part of our regular review of AI features conducted in April 2026, we re-evaluated how these features are enabled by default. We've decided that the AI features listed below will be TURNED OFF by default for any organization that has not manually enabled or disabled them. This change aligns with our policy of wanting you to explicitly choose to turn on AI features, rather than having them automatically enabled.

 

Important: If you (or your admin) have previously enabled or disabled any of these AI features manually, that configuration remains unchanged and is not affected by this update. This default applies only when no manual action has ever been taken on a given feature.

For reference, here are the current default statuses of our AI features:

Unread Message Summary – ON

Conversation Summary – OFF

Writing Assistant (Zoho AI) – ON

Copy Text from Images in Previews (Zoho AI) – ON

Transcript for Recorded Meetings (Zoho AI) – ON

Summary of Meeting Transcript and Action Items (OpenAI) – OFF

Live Transcript (Zoho AI) – ON
