Usability Enhancements and suggestions

In general, I have been very pleased by the continuing product development and refinements.  Zoho continues to be proactive and I appreciate the effort it takes to continuously improve the products. I particularly appreciate the work in improving workflow and adding macros to help automate functions and reduce the number of "clicks" it takes to use the program efficiently.

Now that the "new" User Interface has been out for awhile I want to offer some suggestions for making ZCRM easier to use.

1 - Find a way to include the contact name and phone number as an integral part of the Potential Record.

The reason for this is that with the new mobile apps users want to have fewer "Clicks" when using the apps on their portable devices. When I am using my android app I do not want to have to click on the contact name in the Potentials record in order to dial the phone. Also, I want to be able to create a "Call List" using a view in Potentials that can be printed out.

2 - Improve the sync with Google calendar and Google Tasks.

Unfortunately the Zoho Calendar system and ZCRM calendar system are not yet robust enough for hard core business use. Events and reminders do not automatically update across the Zoho family of products, much less with third party apps. This makes calendar sharing almost impossible in real time. As it stands right now, unless you enable e-mail reminders for tasks and events there is no reliable way to track them on a mobile device. The most reliable calendaring system for cross platform usage and calendar sharing is currently Google. This integration would have the benefit of freeing development on the ZCRM mobile apps by allowing the Google systems to provide alerts and reminders instead of having the ZCRM development team working on adding those much needed functions.

3 - IMAP Functionality for Zoho Mail Integration

Like many small businesses our company uses a hosted mail solution on a third party server. IMAP is necessary to ensure that when we send e-mails, reply to e-mails and manage our e-mail those activities are reflected on the mail server. Without this functionality our mail is never synchronized across devices - such a tablets or smart phones. It also prevents support staff from accessing all of our e-mail (Particularly important when we go on vacation). Right now the only viable workaround is to use the MS Outlook integration. However, that requires purchasing an expensive 3rd party program and based on the reports here in the forums there are a lot of glitches with the MS Outlook 2010 add-on.
