User-Driven Feature Development

To the ZCRM Development team:

Going back as far as three years ago I had several phone conversations and forum discussions with ZCRM staff about implementing a User-Feedback group in this forum area similar to what the Zoho Creator team does in their forum.

In summary, the idea was to ask the user group to submit an overview of a specific feature that they would like to see the development team add. This would be an ongoing submission process. The development team would review the proposals and then provide a way for users to vote on the ideas they wanted implemented. The feature voted the winner by the community would then begin development and people who voted for the feature would be asked to assist with the development process as BETA testers. 

Only one feature would developed at a time in this manner and the Development team keeps the community up to date on the progress of the development.

When the feature was released to all users then a new round of development would begin again.

About 2 years ago one of the forum moderators was about to implement this, but for some reason the effort fell apart.

Is this concept of user-driven features something that the development team would consider again at this time?
