using a permanent e-mail from my university as outgoing address

using a permanent e-mail from my university as outgoing address

My current account is configured as username@zoho.com, but I would like recipiants of my messages only to see the permanent forwarding email address that my university has given alumni. Is it possible to change it to myusername@alum.wellesley.edu? I tried going to SETTINGS, then ADD FROM ADDRESS but I think you have to own the domain in order to use the from address. Any ideas?
