Using lead status properly
It is our experience that when dealing with leads status should not be used as a means to determine "what is the next step". Effectively status should be used to assist in determining progress much likes stages with potentials.
Solution: Sales personnel should instead of status use
tasks to create workflow and determine future actionable items per lead.
With that said and considering it to be true, here are a couple issues we are facing. When filtering on "Open Leads" all leads are returned/displayed. This is not intuitive to the description of the filter. How to get work around or correct?
Secondly, when a custom status is used that depicts a lead is closed such as Junk Lead or Lost Lead, there is no way to assign an attribute to the status so you can filter on closed leads and get Junk Leads and Lost Leads in the results. Zoho CRM treats all status' regardless of description as open. How to get work around or correct?
