Hello,
I use Zoho to send mails from my own domain. Now I have added my pop account to send mails from my private adress and use one inbox. Receiving mails going well. If I want to send an e-mail trough the smtp server of my provider (Ziggo, Netherlands) I get an error. . I get the message "if you use port 587 you need to login" (not the exact message, translated from Dutch). I am sure I logged in with the correct username and password. If I use zoho smtp, I get the email from mymail@home.nl behalf me@owndomain.com I use the smtp server as it appears on the website of the provider. This also works in Microsoft Office Outlook.
Smtp server settings: https://www.ziggo.nl/#klantenservice/e-mail/pop-instellingen/
@ home has been taken over by ziggo, I chose to keep my old email address
I also received alternative settings:
Incoming email = pop.ziggo.nl / mail.home.nl
Server port for incoming e-mail = 995
Outgoing email = smtp.ziggo.nl / smtp.home.nl
Server port for outgoing e-mail = 25
Username = your full email address (eg piet@ziggo.nl)
Password = password of your email account
Security type = TLS
Both do not work. Is there a way to send from ************ @ home.nl and not from ********** @ home.nl behalf **** do e-mails *** @ owndomain.com.
Sincerely,
R Pieters
