I have created a pick list that allows salesmen to choose a relevant reason that we might lose a Deal. When a Deal is moved to the "Closed Lost" stage the validation rule mandates this field is completed. This field presents itself in the pop-up that is cued when the stage is updated to Closed. For some reason when an option is selected from the pick list the save option is not enabled. We can work around this by updating the pick list before the stage but I am pretty sure something is broken here. I did not have this issue when we first implemented the validation rule.

Can anything be done? Ideas?
