View Blueprint Transition Permission
We've tried implementing blueprints and while it's been great at enforcing the business process, our users are having some severe practical issues with how it's been implemented. We have quite a few different teams that need to work together, and there is currently no visibility in Blueprints between transition owners without giving each full edit access. Certain users need to have view access to other transition buttons to see progress of what has been done.
More details about our use case:
We have account managers, loan processors, and underwriters in a certain part of our Deal process. Account managers shouldn't have the same permissions as loan processors and underwriters to fill certain fields, but they need to know the progress of each stage of the deal so they can push the different teams to complete their tasks. We chose blueprints because we can enforce certain things are filled in and triggers can be set after each stage. Here's the issues:
- Without giving access to a blueprint transition, other teams/transition owners cannot see the status of the blueprint stage and have no idea what's outstanding.
- If I do give access to other users, they have full edit access for that field which we can't do.
- Since blueprints don't update the actual fields until after the transition, non-transition owners (Account Managers in our case) have no idea what is filled in or missing unless they reach out the team.
I believe simply giving an alternative group of users access to click a transition button but only view the items would help tremendously. As of now, we're going to need to remove the blueprint as it's actually increasing our time-to-close deals.
