Visitor tracking

Don't quite understand visitor tracking.

  1. A lot of people visit our website, not necessarily sales leads.  What if we only want to track leads/contacts currently in Zoho, and not create new leads/contacts?
  2. Regarding "All visitors who provide their email addresses while visiting your website will be pushed to your Zoho CRM account."  Does this mean visitor tracking only works if they provide their email address somewhere?
