The argument given by Zoho is that this is a limitation by design, as the system takes a performance hit. One may understand this paradigm or barrier, though with the yearly gains in processing power in data centers, the argument is begining to fall short.

However, Zoho could make it easier for current users by AT LEAST providing a way to recalculate all fields in a module, or AT LEAST, by allowing formula re-calculation on EDITING a single field in a record.

Right now, Zoho states that formula recalculation takes place on editing the record, but this is not correct, or at least it is partially incorrect, as it DOES NOT perform formula recalculation on single field edit.

You are forced to edit the entire record, when the system should recalculate the data on the editing of a SINGLE field, and not necessarily a field involved in the syntax of the formula, but ANY field of the record.

Changing this limitation would greatly diminish a mayor deficiency of the current CRM offering provided by Zoho, which we think despite the limitations is a great system. We think however, that Zoho needs to listen better to its user community, as we only strive to help you to make the system better. We provide an important value for your company.
