Way to Change Product Details in Invoice and Purchase Orders

I was wondering if it was possible to add and delete things from the invoices and purchase order's product details. I want to be able to add a column for categories, weight, value, etc.

I searched in the forum and found that this was a suggested feature but I haven't heard if it is possible to customize the product details.
