We Need Alternative to Google 2 Factor Authentication

There are many people having problems with Google 2 factor authentication.

On my iPhone, Google Authenticator always crashes when I choose "scan barcode." Many people have this problem, as you can see in this google group: 


I would prefer to REMOVE "login with google" from my account, so I can have a unique password.

How can I improve security without using the not-usable Google 2 factor authentication?

Can Zoho create a direct 2 factor authentication?
