web folders v uploading & download option

Ive just installed a trial version for a potential user of VO after telling them how good it was. But there looks to be an issue with the webfolder/upload side of things. If he creates a folder within VO it does not show up on the webfolder. I think ive had that issue on my install, but cant remember how we got it to work right.

Also as well as having an upload option within VO would it be possible to have a download option. So you click the box at the side of the file and you can then click a download button. Im asking this as we have quite a few issues with IE opening docs within IE and not spawing the application. For viewing its ok, but its frustrating some users. I personally use Firefox and that works fine.
