Web to Lead and javascript validation

I am using Web to lead to add leads directly to ZOHO CRM. I need to add javascript validation in Web to lead form to ensure that some of the fields are not empty.

But ZOHO CRM uses field names with blank spaces like First Name, Last Name. And javascript will not accept names with empty spaces.

What do I do?
