Web-to-Sales Order form?

I love the idea of Web-to-Lead, Web-to-Contact forms which basically enables the general public a way to input data directly into the system through a web interface. The info entered by the Lead/Contact is captured directly into/by the system. Great! But why can't this also be allowed for Sales Orders? After all Sales Orders are sent in by customers. May be I am being too abstract :o)..

Here's what I am trying to do: I am setting up a mobile mechanic web solution for a client. I'll be having a separate "company" website. I'd like to have a Web-to-Sales Order form (with only select fields available for the public), where a customer can submit a service request by entering customer info. (as in web-to-contact form) but more importantly also info. that needs to be captured by the Sales Order form such as year and make of car, description of the problem etc. submit it. Zoho will then route the order to an appropriate mechanic/person etc.

Can this be done manually currently through the API's? Basically some fields would create a contact record and the rest would go to the Sales Order module? How difficult is to produce an ad hoc form consisting of any selected form fields from within Zoho and have that form published on a comany website so the captured data flows directly into Zoho?
