Hello customers,
We are approaching the end of the year; we hope it's been productive and fruitful for you. To ease your accounting needs this holiday season, we are back with yet another set of updates and enhancements. Let's take a quick look at what's new this month.
Advanced Multi-currency Handling
Introducing the most awaited multi-currency feature in the Elite and Ultimate plans of Zoho Books. You can now create transactions in multiple currencies for the same customer or vendor.
You'll first have to enable multi-currency from the customer or vendor preferences. Once you enable it, you'll have a dropdown in the transaction creation page from where you can choose the currency. You can also record payments made and payments received in different currencies. Learn more about Advanced Multi-currency Handling from our
help document.
Note: Ensure you've changed the credit limit for all your customers to the organization's base currency to be able to use this feature.
To enable Advanced Multi-currency: Go to Settings > Preferences > Customers and Vendors > Enable Advanced Multi-currency Handling.
Multi-level "Group By" option in Reports
Introducing the multi-level Group By option in Receivable Summary, Receivable Details, Payable Summary, and Payable Details reports. With the Group By option, you can group and categorize reports based on the option you select. You can choose up to three Group By options to group your report.
Let's say you want to view the amount to be received from each customer, categorized based on the date and transaction type, then you can select Customer Name, Date, and Transaction type in the Group By fields. You can also choose to view the total at the top of the group or at the bottom by checking the box next to Display the total as a separate row below each group.
To group a report: Go to the report then go to Customize Report > Under Group By, select the field(s) you need.
Edit pushed e-invoices [India]
We introduced the option to edit certain fields of e-invoice transactions even after they've been pushed to the IRP in the India edition of Zoho Books. You can edit fields such as the Customer Notes, Order Number, Terms, Due Date, and Reference Number in pushed invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
To enable this option: Go to Settings > Preferences > E-invoicing. Click Enable next to Edits to pushed transactions have been disabled.
Integrate bank accounts using Plaid [US and Canada]
We've now integrated with Plaid to fetch automatic bank feeds from your bank accounts and credit cards and send them to the US and Canada editions of Zoho Books. You can connect your bank accounts using Plaid by selecting Plaid from the Bank Feeds Service Provider dropdown.
Please note that If your bank is not listed in the dropdown, then your bank is not supported by Plaid for automatic feeds. You can select another service provider and search for your bank. Learn more about
Plaid.
To fetch bank feeds using Plaid: Go to Banking > Add Bank or Credit Card > Connect Now > Select Plaid from the Bank Feeds Service Provider dropdown.
