What are your use cases for standard layouts?

What are your use cases for standard layouts?
I subscribe to ZohoOne, but the number of additional layouts I can create is very limited.

I am wondering if this is really a good choice since the standard status will no longer be known.
What are your thoughts on this?
At first we kept the standard layouts as the prescribed templates.
However, for future use, I am thinking of renaming the standard layout and changing the other fields as well.
