What happens with the email in the CRM when a user leaves the company and their email address gets deleted?

Hi ZCommunity,

We are currently managing our email from GMail, as we havent been able to transfer to Zoho Mail yet due to some issues in deliverability and emails going often to spam.

The emails are connected to Zoho CRM through IMAP.

I want to know what will happen with the emails an employee has exchanges with clients, both from the CRM or from GMail (and currently linked to the contact) if the user leaves the company and thus his/her email user in GMail is deleted.

What will happen? We dont want to lose those emails, we want them to stay attached and linked to teh contact or deal as they are now.

Would you please advise what will happen and how to achieve our expected behaviour?
