What is recommended way to process Indian Payroll?

What is recommended way to process Indian Payroll?

I understand Zoho Books doesn't have Payroll feature yet, and the one in beta seems the US only. So probably Indian PayRoll may take very long time!

We want to record per-employee payroll every month. We have around 50 employees. 

For every employee, every month, we want to record:
  1. Earnings (we can skip breakdown such as basic/TA/DA, incentives, paid leave deduction) 
  2. Professional Tax (Maharashtra)
  3. Provident Fund (employee and employer contribution separately)
We do provide advance salaries/zero-interest loan to our employees and usually, they pay via EMI deducted from monthly salary. As there is no-interest, we only need to keep track of advance.

From Zoho team, I would like to know:
  1. First - should we use "manual journals" or "bills from vendor"? What do you recommend considering the design of Payroll feature you are working on?
  2. How does employee salary advances/loan affect the choice (from point 1)? Will either method make it easier to track outstanding loan per employee?
  3. Will Zoho Expense be helpful? We are happy to use another Zoho product/add-on, including paid ones? We are ready to be a beta tester if Zoho's Indian Payroll is in beta.
I understand a feature like a payroll will take some time to deliver, especially when it needs to be localized for most countries. However, till that happens few dedicated articles in Zoho Books help section could guide people like us!
