Hello customers!
As we are inching closer to the end of this year, our team at Zoho Books is as thrilled as ever to bring you the latest round of new features and enhancements.
From adding reporting tags for credit and debit accounts to revamping the Banking Overview page, read on to learn about the updates we've released over the last month.
When you make a transfer from one account to another, you want to keep track of it. To easily identify transfers, we have now introduced two-way reporting tags. You can associate reporting tags with both your credit and debit accounts.
For instance, you can easily identify the amount transferred between two departments or two different locations using the two-way reporting tag. This way, you can filter all your account transfers based on the tags.
To associate reporting tags for account transfers: Go to Banking, select a bank account, and click + Add Transaction. Select Transfer to Another Account or Transfer from Another Account, click Associate Tags, choose the tag you want to associate, and click Save.
All-New Bank Account Overview Page
We've redesigned the bank account overview page to enhance your user experience. In the new page, you will be able to view details and perform actions right from the Activity Summary section. You can perform the following actions from your bank account overview page:
- View last import details and import statements
- View last reconciliation details and initiate new reconciliation
- View transaction details and create a new rule
- View the check summary
- Activate feeds
To access the bank account overview page: Go to Banking, select a bank account, and click the Overview tab.
IOSS and OSS Reports (Global edition)
Previously, we released an update in Zoho Books that enabled you to apply taxes on transactions according to the IOSS/OSS scheme. To help you keep track of all the taxes that were applied on transactions under this scheme, we've now released a dedicated OSS/IOSS scheme report.
To view this report: Click Reports in the left sidebar, and select OSS/IOSS Reports under the Taxes section.
Add Weight and Dimensions for Items (For Inventory-Enabled Organizations)
While creating a new item, you can now enter its weight and dimensions in the units of your choice.
To enter these details: Click Items on the left sidebar and select Items. Click +New and enter the length, width, and height.
ABC Classification Reports (For Inventory-Enabled Organizations)
ABC classification is a ranking system for identifying and grouping items in terms of how useful they are for achieving business targets. In this system, inventory is divided into three categories: the items in the A category have the highest value, B category items are of lower value than A, and C category items have the lowest value.
You can now access a detailed ABC classification report if you've enabled the Inventory add-on.
To view the ABC Classification report: Click Reports on the left sidebar, then click ABC Classification under Inventory.
Zoho Books iOS App Updates
You can now deregister your organization from VAT to undo the tax setup in Zoho Books. After doing so, you will be able to create transactions without VAT treatment. (UAE edition only)
To deregister: Open the Zoho Books iOS app, select More, then Settings, then Tax Settings, and click Deregister at the bottom.
