Outstanding Filter In the Client Portal
Your customers can now apply the Outstanding filter while viewing customer statements in the Client Portal. They can also view, download, and print the statements that have outstanding transactions using this filter.
To apply this filter: Go to Client Portal > Statements and from the Filter By dropdown, select Outstanding.
Reverse Charge (Global edition)
Reverse Charge is a mechanism by which a vendor does not collect tax from their customer, instead allows the customer to pay the tax directly to the government. We have now added the option to track reverse charges for sales and purchase transactions in the Global edition of Zoho Books.
To enable Reverse Charge: Go to Settings > Taxes > Tax settings. Check the Enable Reverse Charge in Sales/Purchase Transactions box to enable reverse charge for your organization. Note that there is one checkbox for sales transactions and another for purchase transactions.
Once enabled, you can apply reverse charge by checking the box that says, This transaction is applicable for reverse charge on the transaction creation page. When reverse charge is applied to a transaction, the recipient of the goods or services is liable to pay the tax to the government. You can view a detailed report of all the sales and purchase transactions with reverse charge, in the Sales Reverse Charge Summary and the Reverse Charge Summary reports.
Import Applied Excess Payment
You can directly import and apply an excess payment made by an existing customer with the Import Applied Excess Payments option. If you have multiple excess payments made by customers that have to be applied to invoices, you can directly import them instead of manually entering them individually.
To import applied excess payments: Go to the Payments Received module and click the More icon (...). From the dropdown, select Import Applied Excess Payments.
iOS 16 Updates
- We've provided Notes custom field in the Bills module.
MacOS and iPadOS Updates
- Continuity camera: The feature allows you to scan barcodes to add items to transactions; scan business cards to create customers; and scan documents to add attachments to transactions.
- Scan live texts: You can scan and copy the content from receipts such as reference number, notes, etc., to respective fields in the expense creation page.
- Quick actions: You can now perform bulk actions using Quick Actions. We have also added a transaction list to the customer details page where you will be able to view, share, and delete multiple transactions.
