It has been a pretty productive month for all of us here at Zoho Books. From working on iOS14 ready updates to agent filing, we've rolled out multiple features. Here's a rundown of all that's new:
Agent Filing (UK)
Now provide access to your accountant to file returns on your behalf at HMRC. All you'll have to do is first authorise your Agent with their ARN at HMRC (from Zoho Books) and then approve the agent's request. You will then be redirected to HMRC where you can grant authority to start filing returns. Read more about
Agent Filing.
To do this: Go to Settings > VAT > VAT Filing Settings.
Get quick insights on invoices
Get a quick overview of the total outstanding receivables, due dates, average number of days for getting paid and so on from the mini dashboard available on top of the invoice module. You can refresh the dashboard for regular updates.
To view them: Go to Sales > Invoices.
Import files from cloud
Files you've stored in your cloud storage application such as Zoho Docs/Workdrive, Google Drive, box, Dropbox, Evernote or OneDrive can now be imported into Zoho Books.
To import files: Click Import in the module you would like to import files > Click the dropdown near choose file > Click Attach from Cloud.
Sign and accept estimates from public links
Your customers can now sign and accept or decline estimates from the estimate link shared with them. This makes it easy to share the documents with customers who do not have a client portal.
To enable this: Go to Settings > Preferences > Estimates > Mark the Allow customers to accept or decline the estimates via the public link option.
Template specific address format
We've now added an option for customizing the address formats at the template level. So you can use a different address format for each template.
To customize address: Go to Settings > Templates > Choose the module and edit the template > Go to Header and edit the address format.
Updates to the Zoho Books Windows app (India, US, UK and Global)
We've been working to bridge the gap between the web app and the windows app. So the recent set of updates now allow you to:
