What's New in Zoho Inventory - August 2019

The much awaited product updates is here for the month of August! Let's take a look at what's new in Zoho Inventory.
 
Multilevel Approval for Purchase Transactions

You can now have more than one supervisor double-check the transactions created by your staff members. Doing so ensures that the transactions are verified thoroughly by each appointed personnel before it can ultimately be sent to the intended recipient, leaving little to no room for errors.

If the transaction is successfully approved by all approvers, the staff can carry out further operations on it such as emailing the transaction, creating a bill or a receive. However, if the transaction is rejected by even one of the approvers, then the staff member must make the necessary changes and re-submit the transaction for approval.

The users can also view the list of approvers in charge of approving a transaction and their approval status.



This hierarchical approval process is currently open only for purchase transactions. It will soon be available for sales transactions as well.

Set Default Dispatch Address for Shipments

You can now set a default Dispatch Address from your various organizational addresses. This address will be populated on your shipment slip whenever you create a carrier shipment.

To set a default dispatch address: Go to Settings > Preferences > Shipment > Click Change Address under the 'Choose Default Dispatch Address' section. Choose from the existing addresses or add a new address to set it as your default address.



Enhancements on Transaction Import

Previously, while importing transactions, the items in a transaction were matched with the items in Zoho Inventory based on the item name. Now, the items are matched based on their SKUs. Currently, only the Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Bills, Packages and Credit Note modules support SKU mapping during import.
 
Raised Invoice Attachment Count 

You can now attach up to 10 documents to your invoices.
