Hope you are safe and well. We are back with a new set of updates rolled out to Zoho Inventory in the months of June and July.
Integration with QuickBooks Online - UK Edition
Zoho Inventory's integration with QuickBooks Online is now supported for the UK edition! This seamless integration helps export the sales, purchases, customer and stock information from Zoho Inventory into QuickBooks instantly. Similarly, the accounts from QuickBooks also gets imported into Zoho Inventory which you can apply in various transactions. Read more.
Remove or move option for Zoho Commerce item groups
Previously, item groups fetched from online sales channels could not be edited. Now, given the tight integration between Zoho Inventory and Zoho Commerce, you can remove or move items from item groups fetched from your Zoho Commerce store. Learn more.
Note:
- If an item is moved from one group to another, it loses its former group's attributes and acquires the attributes of the current group.
- Also, if an item is moved to a group with no attributes, then it won't be displayed in your Zoho Commerce store.
Link multiple sales channel items to a Zoho Inventory Item
You can now link multiple sales channel items to a single Zoho Inventory item. By doing so, you can sell the same product across various sales channels with different names, while maintaining a single base stock.
Based on the name or SKU, the items are linked through regular sync. If that's not possible, you can link them manually.
Updated the tax handling for Shopify orders
Zoho Inventory now supports tax inclusive orders and group tax-applied orders from Shopify for all the editions. Learn more about Shopify.
Serial and batch numbers in packages and receives
We've now provided an option that would allow you to track serial and batch numbers on packages and receives instead of invoices, bills, and credit notes.
To change your preference: Go to Settings > Preferences > Items > Advanced Inventory Tracking, and choose the 'Track in Packages, Purchase Receives and Return Receipts' option. Learn more.
Support for e-Way Bills - Indian Edition
An e-Way bill is an electronic document that you must possess if you're transporting goods within or outside the states of India as per the GST regime. This document gives a detailed account of the items moved, place of supply, and the mode of transport.
In Zoho Inventory, you can easily generate e-Way bills for invoices, credit notes, and delivery challans. You can also export the transaction details from Zoho Inventory and upload it into the EWB portal to generate multiple e-Way bills. Learn more about e-Way bills.
Request GST information from customers and vendors - Indian Edition
If you do not have your customer's or vendor’s GST details at hand, you can request them to update it directly in Zoho Inventory. To do so:
- Go to the Customers or Vendors module from the left sidebar.
- Select the customers or vendors whose GST information you want to request by clicking the checkbox next to their names.
- Click the Request GST Information button on the menubar. Ensure that you have added their email addresses.
An email will be sent to the selected customers or vendors with a link to feed their GST information directly into Zoho Inventory.
Inventory Aging Report
The Inventory Aging Report helps you find out how long your stock's been sitting in the warehouse. This report can also be customized based on the aging intervals that can be either in days or weeks.
To access this report: Go to the Reports module from the left pane > Inventory Reports > Inventory Aging Summary
Import Shipments
Upload multiple shipment details using the import feature. The simple three-step import process helps you add bulk records in a matter of minutes.
To import shipments: Go to the Packages module from the left pane > Click the Hamburger icon > Choose Import Shipments.
Retainer Invoices
Record advance payments as retainer invoices and apply them on customers' unpaid invoices or future invoices. This amount can also be refunded in case of order cancellation. Learn more about Retainer Invoices.
Trigger stock update to sales channels
You can now trigger a manual stock update for an item in Zoho Inventory to its associated sales channels. Click the More dropdown and select the Push Stock option in the item details page to push current stock details of the item instantly.
Search items and sales orders using the sales channel fields
Advanced searches can now be performed for items and sales orders using the sales channel fields such as Channel Name, Channel Product Name, Channel Product SKU, Channel Product ID, and Channel Order ID. You can also create custom views with these channel details.
Instant Invoice option for Shopify orders
We've supported the instant invoice option for Shopify orders. Create an invoice in a single click without having to go through any intermediate steps.
To create an instant invoice: Open a Shopify sales order > Click Create > Instant Invoice.
Linking MFN and FBA items - US Edition
It is now possible to link both FBA and MFN items manually to a single Zoho Inventory item. This not only helps maintain a single base stock for multiple online items but also allows the seller to ship from the nearest warehouse while cutting down on the FBA processing charges.
