Connect Zoho Invoice to AI Using Zoho MCP

Zoho Invoice now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standardised way for AI assistants to securely interact with your business tools. This means you can now connect your invoicing data and workflows directly to AI models like Claude and ChatGPT, and let them work on your behalf in a controlled, permission-based way.

Once set up, you can perform everyday tasks in Zoho Invoice using plain-language prompts, without opening the application at all. For example, you can:
  1. Create invoices, quotes, and record payments.
  2. Add and update customers and items.
  3. Track outstanding payments and follow-ups.
  4. Pull reports and summaries such as sales and taxes.

Customize Accessibility Preferences

We've introduced Accessibility Preferences in Zoho Invoice. You can now adjust text spacing, underline links for better visibility, add strikethrough to disabled buttons, and quickly access keyboard shortcuts for easier navigation. These preferences help improve readability, accessibility, and overall usability across the application.

To configure accessibility preferences in your organization:
  1. Click your profile in the top-right corner of your Zoho Invoice organization.
  2. Click Accessibility Preferences.
  3. Select Set Up Your Preferences.

Attach Annexure to PDF Templates

You can now attach annexure documents to your PDF templates. Supporting documents are automatically appended as additional pages at the end of the generated PDF.

To configure annexure attachments to your PDF templates:
  1. Go to Settings > PDF Templates.
  2. Select a module and choose a template.
  3. Hover over the template and click Edit.
  4. Under Other Details > Annexure, click Upload File.

Indirect TDS Summary in Invoice PDFs [India Edition & Kenya Edition]

The Indirect TDS Summary can now be displayed in Invoice PDFs when applicable, showing the TDS rate, taxable amount, and total TDS amount. This gives your customers a clear breakdown of the TDS applied on each transaction.

Display Total Amount Excluding TDS [India Edition & Singapore Edition]

You can now display the Total Amount Excluding TDS in the total section of an invoice PDF, allowing you to show the invoice amount without TDS alongside the total amount. This helps present TDS deductions transparently on your invoices.

Record Statutory Dates on Credit Notes [Germany Edition]

Credit Notes in the German edition now support Supply Date, Service Start Date, Service End Date, and Transaction Posting Date as system custom fields. These dates are carried over automatically when you convert a credit note to an invoice, create a correction invoice, or generate a cancellation invoice; helping you stay compliant without manual efforts.

To enable these fields:
  1. Go to Settings > Credit Notes under Sales.
  2. Navigate to the Fields tab.
  3. Hover over and click the dropdown next to the field.
  4. Click Mark as Active.

Service Period Fields for Recurring Invoices [Germany Edition]

Zoho Invoice now automatically populates Service Start Date, Service End Date, and Transaction Posting Date on every invoice generated by a recurring invoice. The service period dates are auto-derived from the recurring invoice's billing term, ensuring every invoice meets §14 UStG requirements with zero additional input required.

Track Custom Field Usage

You can now view your overall usage and remaining limits for custom fields from each Field Customisation page. The usage summary shows the number of fields used and available, helping you plan customisations more effectively.

To view this:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select a module.
  3. Navigate to Fields > Custom Field Usage.

Customise PDF Template for Expenses

You can now create and customise multiple PDF templates for expense records, making it easier to maintain consistency across your transactions.

To create a new template:
  1. Go to Settings > PDF Templates.
  2. Select Expenses.
  3. Click + New.

Other Enhancements

  1. Support for Korean, Polish, and Greek: You can now access Zoho Invoice in three additional languages; Korean, Polish, and Greek, helping you use Zoho Invoice comfortably in your preferred language. To switch languages, go to Settings > Organization Profile and choose your preferred language from the Organization Language dropdown.
  2. Display Organization Details in Report Exports: You can now include organization details in your report export files. This ensures every exported report carries your business information, making them audit-ready and easier to identify.
