Hello everyone,
We hope you’re having an expectation-exceeding event experience! We’ve been hard at work bringing you a bunch of enhancements designed to make event management even easier.
Let’s take a look at what’s new in Zoho Backstage.
Export delivery reports for emails and WhatsApp
Tracking the delivery status of your event communications is easier than ever. With this enhancement, you can export delivery reports for both email and WhatsApp communications, making it simple to review message delivery, identify failures, and maintain records for reporting or follow-up.
For email communications, you can export the delivery report from Communications > Automated Emails or Scheduled Emails. Open the required email campaign and click the Mails Sent count to access the delivery details. From there, export the report to download a complete record of recipients and their delivery status.
The exported email report includes the following details:
- Name
- Email
- Company
- Sent On
- Status
- Failure Reason
For WhatsApp communications, navigate to Communications > WhatsApp > Manage > Delivery Report, select the required WhatsApp template, and click Export to download the report.
The exported WhatsApp report contains:
- Name
- Mobile
- Company
- Sent On
- Status
- Failure Reason
Whether you’re monitoring communication performance, following up with recipients whose messages couldn’t be delivered, or maintaining communication records for your event, these export options provide quick access to detailed delivery information. With support for both email and WhatsApp, you can easily analyze communication outcomes and take the necessary actions to improve participant engagement.
Abstract submissions export
One of the most requested features from our Abstract Management Early Access users is now available. You can now export abstract submissions directly from Zoho Backstage, making it easier to work with submission data outside the platform.
Whether you’re preparing your event agenda in a spreadsheet before importing the finalized schedule back into Zoho Backstage or simply want to keep a local copy of your submission data for reporting and record-keeping, this enhancement supports both workflows.
To export submissions, navigate to Abstract > Submissions > All Submissions, click the hamburger menu, and select Export.
The export is flexible, allowing you to include additional information such as co-author details, reviewer details, and reviewer comments based on your requirements. It also respects the filters currently applied on the submissions page, so you can export only a specific set of submissions. If you need a complete export, simply clear any active filters before starting the export. This gives you greater control over the data you share, analyze, or archive.
Opt-Out option for Payment Completion Reminder emails
Payment Completion Reminder emails now include a one-click opt-out option for missed registrants. The opt-out section is automatically added to the email template and cannot be edited or removed.
A new email delivery report provides detailed reminder tracking, including unique recipients, total emails sent, delivery and bounce status, and the number of reminders sent to each recipient. Search Email History now displays every reminder sent to an individual with its timestamp and delivery status.
Recipients who opt out are redirected to a confirmation page, and organisers can view all opted-out users using the new Opted Out filter in the Missed Registrations tab.
For new events, the maximum number of reminder criteria has been reduced from five to three. Existing events with more than three criteria remain unchanged.
Filter count for announcements
Announcement filters now display item counts in both the Posted and Scheduled tabs, making it easier to navigate announcements. Counts are available for Announcement Type (Basic Alert and Poll), Posted On (Before, During, and After the Event), and During the Event filters, with counts shown for each event day from Day 1 through the final day.
That’s a wrap for this month’s enhancements!
We hope these updates help you deliver an even better event experience. As always, we’d love to hear your feedback and ideas as we continue to evolve Zoho Backstage.
All features and enhancements mentioned in this article are available across all Zoho Backstage-supported data centers, except WhatsApp-related features, which are currently unavailable in the China data center.
