What's New this August 2020 in Zoho Invoice?

We are here again to keep you up to date about the latest features from Zoho Invoice. This month, we have focused on updates that can save you time. Read on to see what's new this August.

Accept online payments instantly with payment links

Receiving payments from your customers is now just a link away! Introducing the Payment Links module in Zoho Invoice, where you can create and share a payment link with customers within minutes. This payment link can be used to collect miscellaneous payments from your customers, such as an advance amount for a bulk sale or an ad hoc payment that's different from the invoice amount.

To enable this module:
  • Go to Settings > Preferences > General.
  • Check the Payment Links option.
Once enabled, the Payment Links module will be available in the left sidebar. From there you can create a payment link quickly by selecting a customer and filling in a few details such as the amount you’re requesting and the link’s expiration date. Read more.



Retain your customizations for Payments Received reports

The customizations you make to the Payments Received reports will now be preserved when you visit those reports next time. This way, you don't need to go through the hassle of customizing a report again each time you view it. We have introduced this initially only for the reports under the Payments Received section, and it will be available soon for the other reports as well.

To customize the Payments Received reports: Go to Reports > Select the required report under Payments Received > Click Customize Report.



Mark GST settings as inactive (India Edition)

If you have enabled the Branches feature and have added multiple GSTINs, you can now mark a GST setting as inactive. This can be useful when you change your business location and want to add a new GSTIN, but you've already reached the maximum number of GSTINs that your Zoho Invoice plan allows. In such cases, you can mark the GST setting with the old GSTIN as inactive and add a new one for your new location.

To mark a GST setting as inactive: Go to Settings > Taxes > Select the required GSTIN under GST Settings > Click Mark as Inactive.



Updates to Zoho Invoice Windows app

Over the past couple of months, we've made numerous updates to our Zoho Invoice app for Windows devices. Some of these include:
  • A more refined user interface
  • Advanced search for all modules
  • Support for more custom fields: Attachment, Lookup, and Multi-line
  • More payment gateway integrations: Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.Net (US Edition)
  • Tax on shipping charges (UK and Global Editions)
  • Digital signature for credit notes (India Edition)
We've also updated our iOS and Android apps. Download them, or update to the latest version, if you haven't already. We've made other updates too. Head over to our release notes to read about them.
