What's New this May 2021 in Zoho Invoice?

Hello everyone,

We are back with the latest updates from Zoho Invoice. Read on to know what's new this May.

Retail Premium Template

We've added a new template named Retail-Premium under the Retail category in templates. This template accommodates almost all the information that is available in other templates, in a compact design with a width of 3-4 inches. The Retail-Premium template is available for Estimates, Invoices, and Credit Notes.

Here are some additional details present in Retail-Premium, compared to the existing Retail-Standard template:
  • Billing Address
  • Shipping Address
  • Some additional fields in the invoice details section
  • Terms and Conditions
To view this template: Go to Settings > Templates > Select Estimates/Invoices/Credit Notes > Click + New > Choose Retail in the top bar > Hover over the Retail-Premium template and click Use This.




Record Payments While Creating Invoices

Received payment from your customer before issuing their invoice? Now you no longer have to create a draft invoice and record a payment for it later. You can instead mark the "I have received the payment" option while creating invoices, and a payment will be created for it automatically. The invoice will be created in the Paid status and the payment for it will be created with the Invoice Date.

Note: This option will be available only if your user role has the "Customer Payments" permission, and if Sales Approval is disabled.

To do this: Go to Invoices > Create an invoice and select the customer > Scroll down and mark the I have received the payment option.



Updates to the Zoho Invoice iOS App

  • Supported British English for India and UK based organizations.
  • Provided the Domestic Reverse Charge option for the UK edition.
  • To comply with CBIC's new rule, we've provided the option to choose whether a 4-digit or 6-digit HSN code is to be mandated while creating transactions.
  • You can now create a credit note without mentioning the corresponding invoice number, thereby delinking a credit note from an invoice.
