What's New this November 2019 in Zoho Invoice?
Hello, everyone!
This past month, we have updated Zoho Invoice to provide you an easier invoicing experience. Here's a glimpse into how you can make use of them:
Check the usage of custom fields
Custom fields help you to store additional data for your modules in Zoho Invoice. But, there's a limit to the number of custom fields that you can create for a module. We have introduced the Custom Fields Usage feature so that you can keep a check on the number of custom fields created in your organization. This will help you to know how many new custom fields you can create for each data type.
To view this: Go to Settings > Preferences > Select the desired module > Field Customization > Click Custom Fields Usage in the top right corner of the page.
Change templates easily
Do you have multiple templates and find it hard to change a template for a particular transaction? With this update, you can now change the template for a transaction with the help of a sidebar for template gallery. The sidebar lists out a compact view of all the templates available so that you can choose one from them. Also, you can search for a specific template using the search bar.
To view this sidebar: Select a transaction > Hover over the PDF of the transaction > Select Customize > Change Template. Alternatively, you can click the Change option given below the PDF.
View the total taxable amount
You can now view the total taxable amount in the predefined templates of invoices and credit notes. You can also choose to change the label name of this field. This feature is not yet available in Spreadsheet Plus and Retail templates.
To enable this: Go to Settings > Templates > Select the desired template > Total > Enable the option Total Taxable Amount.
Generate customized reports
We have brought in a few more customization options to a couple of reports. They are as follows:
- Added the option to show/hide columns in the Refund History report of Payments Received. Also, you can now add advanced filters or group by certain columns for the same report.
- Added the option to show/hide columns in the Delivery Challan Details report.
- Added the option to group by customer name in the Sales By Item report.
