When reporting this as a bug, I was informed that it can take up to 24 hours for a newly added or edited contact in the Contacts section to become usable in the Email tab—whether through autocomplete or when selecting recipients via the To button.
Frankly, for a product of this maturity, that delay is hard to accept. The ability to add a contact and immediately email them should be a basic, instantaneous feature. Waiting up to 24 hours is not only impractical, it's a recipe for user error, miscommunication, and workflow disruption.
What’s more concerning is the complete lack of visibility into contact sync status. There's no indication whether a contact is up to date or still syncing, which makes managing large lists incredibly frustrating and opaque. This isn’t just a UX problem—it also raises serious concerns about data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
I’ve been told that the team is working to reduce sync times, but with no clear timeline or commitment, it’s hard to remain confident this will be resolved anytime soon.
If you’ve encountered this same issue, please chime in below. The more voices we have, the better chance we have of seeing this very basic, yet critical, feature prioritized.
Honestly, I challenge anyone to find a modern email platform—anywhere—that doesn’t support immediate contact usage. It’s 2025. This shouldn’t be a problem.
