When I try to send mail to a contact, it's not bringing up templates

When I try to send mail to a contact, it's not bringing up templates

I am pretty sure I was able to do this fine yesterday. Any ideas? 

I selected the contact from the contacts list. I click "send mail." Then the mailbox comes up but I can't select a template. Help!
