IMAP has been in testing since early June. Any idea when it will be released?

I realise that I could apply to join the test, but I am reluctant to commit a business critical application like email to an application that is still being tested.

Also, what is the situation regarding IMAP access from an IPHONE. Will this be possible soon.?
