While importing calendar invitation via Import (.ics), encoding data is displaying

While importing calendar invitation via Import (.ics), encoding data is displaying

When I import .ics calendar invitations into my calendar, I'm seeing encoding information in the Title and Location fields of the event (see screenshot). I've attached the .ics file that caused the output in the screenshot (the extension was changed to .txt so I could attach it).
