Why are completed deals still being counted as IN PIPELINE?

Why are completed deals still being counted as IN PIPELINE?

Why does the Deals IN PIPELINE Home Page Component count deals that are Closed Won and Closed Lost?  In my opinion, these deals are no longer in the pipeline but they're being included in my count.

I have verified that these Pipeline Stages are mapped to their appropriate Forecast Type.
