Why can't workflows be triggered on Import?

Why can't workflows be triggered on Import?

When you import leads (using Migrate from Other CRM) it would be nice if they could trigger a workflow. They don't currently.

Just to note...

They do trigger workflow when a lead is created through the interface or through the API (using wfTrigger=true). Could you exports a wfTrigger field on import?
