Why no Encryption Support
Hi,
RE: Response from Zoho Support; Encryption not Supported
I'm aware that Zoho is more a "Social Media" company rather than supporting industry standards or compliance. I know your system switched to HTTPS, but HTTPS is a open security measure that secures the connection, not the content! When I was told by Zoho Support, the company doesn't support e-mail encryption, that decision, for me, made a decision.
I associate my work with security, law, intelligence, and government programs, and of course, supply chain management. I now understand, that I essentially cannot rely on Zoho content being secure because if Zoho doesn't know what the industry standards are, then Zoho can neither:
_ be approved to use those standards,
_ make use of those standards, nor
_ secure the content used by Zoho members.
It may now be understood by Zoho, why it's important to seek industry standard support, the same as multibillion dollar corporations have done such as: Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Apple, Linkedin, AIG, etc.. Zoho's flagship product: ZCRM, isn't the only, but it's one of many CRM mainframes that aren't industry standard.
For those that don't understand why following an industry standard is important; it's so the processes, security, intelligence, equipment albeit in use currently requires very little change, but requires adaptability and oversight. The corporations in the aforementioned paragraph each achieved a U.S. Federal Government security rating. I'm not stating Zoho needs to pursue government security ratings, but undertaking at least one industry standard will, at least, allow the company to understand, what exactly it's going to do or supposed to do. For Zoho or ZCRM to seriously compete, the company really needs to stop being immature and grow up!
Thank you.
