Workaround - Workflow based on formula Date field

Hello everyone!

Has anyone created a workaround for triggering a workflow based on a calculated date field?

USE CASE:

For each piece of equipment a Next Maintenance Date is calculated based on adding Last Maintenance Date and Maintenance Interval Days.

I would like to create a workflow that creates a record (Work Order) automatically based upon when the Next Maintenance Date is due.

Any ideas?
